About Us

An Arab and a Jew. Two artists. Forty years of unbreakable friendship defying conflict, inspiring hope, and creating change through art.

A Friendship That Defies Divisions

Akram Telawe and Ronny Wertheimer—two artists, two cultures, one unbreakable bond. Meeting as teenagers, we built a connection that stood strong through decades of political tension and cultural separation.

While Akram’s path took him from Taibeh to Europe and back, and Ronny stayed rooted in Tel Aviv, our friendship only deepened, fueled by creativity, humor, and a belief in the power of human connection.

Today, we realize our story isn’t just ours anymore. It’s a rare and powerful example of coexistence—and it’s time to share it with the world.
01.

Why Now

We didn’t set out to make a political statement.

Our friendship was never an agenda—it was simply life, lived with honesty and openness.

But now, as divides grow deeper, we feel a responsibility.

Our bond proves that dialogue, respect, and shared dreams can outlast any conflict.

Through this project, we want to show the world that coexistence isn’t an idealistic fantasy—it’s real, it’s human, and it’s necessary.

About the Project

A Theatrical-Musical Journey Through Culture and Conflict

Our performance will weave together:
* Personal Stories: Real-life moments that shaped our journey.
* Original Texts and Music: Collaborations with composers and writers to bring diverse cultural expressions to life.
* Humor and Grotesque Artistry: Reflecting the absurdity and tragedy of living amid conflict.

This is a story of two voices—Jewish and Arab—never silenced, always intertwined.

03.

The Opportunity

In today’s fractured world, audiences are hungry for authentic stories that bring hope, humor, and new perspectives.

Across Israel and the region, grassroots cultural projects and education initiatives show that art has the power to bridge divides.

Our performance steps into this momentum, offering a rare, genuine, and emotional journey that audiences, cultural institutions, and educational programs are eager to embrace.

04.

This project is just the beginning.

Inspiring Change: Using storytelling to reshape perceptions and foster empathy.
Building a Platform: Ongoing performances, workshops, and collaborations with schools and cultural centers.

“This project is the culmination of a lifetime spent between cultures, languages, and stages. For me, it’s not just a performance—it’s a declaration that friendship, art, and shared humanity can rise above fear and division. Through this story, I hope audiences will feel the possibility of something better—something real.”

Akram Telawe – Co-Creator & Director

“What began as a friendship between two teenagers grew into a quiet resistance to the labels and barriers imposed on us. This project is our way of saying: listen, not everything has to break. Some things—like music, laughter, and trust—can hold us together. That’s the story we want to share.”
